ABOUT ME
William H. Rogers has joined the John Ward Economics team focused on providing economic testimony in the St. Louis metro area and beyond. Dr. Rogers has worked as a forensic economic consultant and expert witness estimating financial losses for litigation purposes since 2015.
He was a professor of economics at Lindenwood University’s Plaster School of Business, from 2016 to 2019, after working as an associate professor of economics at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis since 2004. He earned a Ph.D. in economics from Colorado State University. Professor Rogers specializes in the field of urban economics where he studies the role of private land-use regulation, foreclosures, and the relationship between housing markets and labor markets. He has a particular passion for teaching the connection between economic theory, statistical analysis and programming implementation.
Dr. Rogers has worked as a consultant on Saint Louis area research projects focused on labor unions, TIFs, property taxes, housing prices, higher education and the St. Louis City-County merger.

ACADEMICS
I get excited about economics as a profession and as a subject. As an educator, I prefer to work as a coach trying to communicate this excitement into a difficult subject. Working to motivate and direct clients to an understanding and practice of the discipline of economics and better understand the economy is my goal.
